Union Image POC Studio and PetCam at CES 2026

From January 6 to 9, Union Image appeared at CES 2026 in North Hall, booth #10277, presenting a full portfolio across camera modules, vision systems, depth cameras, imaging devices, and co-created customer products.

At the show, Union Image officially launched POC Studio, a visual product definition and feasibility verification center for the AI era.

POC Studio: Turning Prompt into Product

Ideas are no longer scarce. What matters is execution speed and engineering feasibility: can the concept work, can it scale, and is it worth investing in? POC Studio is designed to answer these questions before large-scale R&D and mass production.

Built on Union Image's capabilities in optical design, camera modules, vision systems, edge algorithms, system integration, and intelligent manufacturing, POC Studio helps innovators quickly validate visual product ideas and build runnable, demonstrable POC scenarios.

PetCam: A First-Person AI Camera for Pets

The PetCam co-developed by Union Image and uCloudlink is a typical POC Studio practice case. From concept to a visible and verifiable product form, the project demonstrates how AI hardware ideas can move quickly toward real productization.

PetCam uses a lightweight first-person design worn by pets, recording real moments from their perspective: exploring outdoors, moving through the home, and interacting with the world around them.

System-Level Imaging for Wearable Smart Hardware

Union Image participated as a system-level partner, supporting product definition, sensor and optical design, ISP tuning, power management, reliability design, engineering validation, and mass-production delivery.

The solution supports 1920x1080 full HD imaging and uses a 2.7um large-pixel design to maintain natural image quality in indoor and low-light conditions. Wide-angle imaging brings the recorded view closer to a pet's real activity perspective.

Through system-level power and reliability design, the product can operate from -10C to 60C and support long-duration use, helping visual recording become part of daily life rather than an extra burden.

POC Studio reflects Union Image's role in the AI hardware industry: helping partners validate concepts faster, connect feasibility verification with engineering, and bring scalable visual products into real-life scenarios.
