Weihai Union Image Upgrades Intelligent Manufacturing with 100MP Camera Module COB Lines
The first batch of 100-megapixel camera COB production lines in Shandong Province has officially entered operation in Nanhai New Area. Built by Weihai Union Image, the new lines mark another step forward in high-end intelligent manufacturing for visual systems.
Technology Upgrade for High-End Smart Devices
As one of Union Image's intelligent manufacturing bases, Weihai Union Image supports smart terminals, camera modules, machine vision devices, smart wearables, intelligent driving, medical imaging, security, and education applications.
To meet strict quality and delivery standards, the company invested in a Class 100 cleanroom, introduced advanced equipment, and built 10 COB packaging production lines. The process is fully enclosed and automated from feeding to packaging, requiring only one operator to manage the line.
Automated Production for Stable Quality
Automation improves both efficiency and consistency. With no exposure to open air and minimal manual intervention, the new production lines help ensure precision, stability, and repeatable quality for high-pixel camera modules.
After all 10 COB lines reach full capacity, Weihai Union Image is expected to add 95 million high-pixel camera modules annually, supporting high-end imaging products and global customer demand.
From 100-megapixel imaging to intelligent manufacturing upgrades, Weihai Union Image continues to strengthen advanced production processes and full-chain delivery capabilities for the visual technology industry.
